A Community-Driven Success
The creation of the Children’s Garden is a testament to the collective efforts of our community. The 2024 Leadership Dorchester Class played a pivotal role in bringing this project to life, not only contributing their time and talent but also donating $10,000 to the Summerville Parks Foundation to support the next phase of development.
The family of Carlotta Pearce provided heartfelt support to honor her legacy, further emphasizing the deep roots this garden has in the Summerville community. Together with the Parks Foundation and the Parks Department, this project exemplifies how collaboration can create meaningful spaces that benefit generations to come.
Thank you to all who made this vision a reality, and we can't wait to see phase II. We hope to see you in the garden!
