Help Us Expand Summerville's Skatepark!

In 2013, Summerville Parks & Recreation opened its very first skatepark—a milestone that came to life thanks to the passion and advocacy of our community. Nearly 100 young skaters packed a Town Council meeting to voice their support, proving that this was more than just a trend—it was a movement. Built by Town personnel, the park is open daily from dawn to dusk.

Nestled just off the Berlin G. Myers Parkway on John McKissick Way, the skatepark sees consistent, enthusiastic use from skaters of all ages. From the very beginning, skaters dreamed of more—hoping to see the park grow with new elements like a quarter pipe and a bank ramp to push their skills even further.

Now, we’re ready to make that dream a reality—but we need your help! We’re raising funds to enhance the existing skatepark by adding high-quality, prefabricated features including a grind rail, quarter pipe, and bank ramp. These additions will level up the park for everyone—from first-time riders to seasoned skaters—and help our skate community continue to thrive.

Whether you skate, support someone who does, or simply believe in providing more spaces for youth to grow and connect, your contribution will directly support the next phase of this exciting project.

Let’s roll forward together—help us build a better skatepark for Summerville! To Donate, visit:
