Thanks to a collaborative effort, Huger Park now boasts a brand-new playground, officially opened on November 29, 2023. The Summerville Parks Foundation, the 2023 Leadership Dorchester Class, and Summerville Parks & Recreation joined forces to bring this much-needed renovation to life.
In addition to the playground, improvements included a new perimeter fence, a rain garden installed by the Summerville Evening Rotary Club, new gutters on the existing pavilion, and site-wide maintenance including pressure washing and painting. These updates make Huger Park a revitalized space for the community to enjoy for years to come!
